Home sweet Henderson

Its been 47 days since we came to Nevada and I'm so home sick! I even miss my cat that's how home sick I am! crazy I know! It hasn't helped that Kinsley has been sick for about 24 of those days leaving us stuck in the house so she can get better, but she on the mend and with that comes more hope for finding things to keep us busy.  

I went to hobby lobby the other day in search of my inner Martha Stewart and all though practice makes perfect  i thought these Flower Crowns came out pretty good for someone who is not very Martha Stewart.

There is a park sorta by the house & story time at the library i have been wanting to take this little sickie too, and of course target and the shopping areas, and I'm learning my way around slowly but its still not the same as being at home and having friends and family, even thou I'm a stay at home mama and they all work so I'm mostly by myself with Kinsley anyways it still can feel so lonely here sometimes. I find myself jumping up and down once the guys get home from work like a little kind just waiting for human interaction and of course Aaron just says "you have Kinsley to play and to talk to all day you have the best job ever!" Yes i do and i wouldn't change it for the world but i still need an adult life with adult conversations and internment ...  I don't want to sound like I'm complaining I'm thankful my husband has an amazing job that allows me to stay home with my little and i know God has us here for a reason but i feel like I'm just trying to figure this whole thing out all over again being a mom and dividing my time between life and baby. 

I go on instagram and Facebook and see life moving on with out me back at home and talk to friends and family on the phone and text and emails but sometimes it just makes it worse and i feel even more homesick then before i called lol ,  When i was 23 i moved all the way to Minnesota with Aaron and i didn't drive then ( lame i know) i stayed in our rink dinky little apartment all day and hated it there so much!  i was way from family for the first time in my entire life... this time around i have a 15 month old along for the ride and i can drive where i want (who hoo!) so i guess its not so bad.... 

I'm totally rambling now but the point is ....roughly 83 days to go ...  & i need a hobby

Hello Monday

Hello loves and hello Monday we had a good long weekend with Aaron home from work for thanksgiving and with a few little mishaps I'd say it was a pretty good one for just throwing it together last minute. 

Friday morning we headed out to target & Costco & Nordstrom rack for a few supply's and Black Friday deals and grabbed some breakfast at a casino cafe and later drove down the strip since I have never seen it. 

 Although Friday was full of fun shopping and sight seeing it was a rough one for me because my great uncle gained his angel wings and returned home even though I'm sad and it kills me that I'm not home with my family at this time I know he's no longer suffering from cancer and is with his loved ones walking the streets of gold. I'm so blessed and thankful to have had him in my life and that he was able to see Kinsley. 

Saturday was a day of cleaning and grocery shopping and finding a bank and a little park time for kinsie she loved it of course and could not stay away from the slide. 

Sunday we went to the church of LV and Kinsley did so great in the nursery. We went and got a new mattress and had some lunch at the casino cafe again and headed home for nap time and football.

On this weeks agenda, find a library with story time do a Little Christmas shopping & check out the malls

November favs

It was nice seeing you November! Until next year ... This month flew by! With a lil Nevada "move " and turning another year older I feel like it was just November 1st last week. 

We all know by now life has been a little hectic lately around here so trying to gather up my November favs was a challenge but here's a quick list

Hello Monday

All last week I was debating back and forth on weather or not to keep this blog going its so hard sometimes trying to balance time and baby and sometimes the day gets away from me and i remember oh i forgot to blog today but i enjoy it.. even if no one reads this lol. ....

Our Friday started off with running late for story time so we decided to get some more birthday stuff out of the way since hubby was off fishing,  We went and bought more stamps and mailed out her invitations and i realize it was probably a little early to do so but life gets crazy around here with birthdays , weddings, and everything else in between i got a little excited and just sent them out giving people more than enough time to RSVP and get a cute picture of kinsie.

Saturday i had an eye appointment with the lasik center to check my eyes early in the morning so after that we just headed over to my father in laws house instead of going over Sunday.. the kids watched Alice in wonderland and we bbq tri tip and of course ate twix ice cream bars because it was 102 out that day and I'm so over summer and this crazy California sun, hello i want ugg weather and falling leaves, and pumpkins everywhere..  and RAINY DAYS!!! if we don't get any rain there will be no lakes left next summer... 

Sunday started with church and it was such a great service .. it always it but lately it has been really good and kins has been loving the nursery and playing with all the kids her age.  after church we went over to our friends for some foot ball, selfies & apple pie ...

Today i am attempting to start my new workout/ diet routine and hopefully get some uninterrupted workouts from little miss fancy pants, a target trip and of course a little blog time...

March's Monthly Favs

I can seriously not believe how fast this month has gone by! March has been a busy and fun month with birthdays and mud runs and finally some rainy days! 

I don't have too many new favs this month but the ones i do have are pretty amazing

John frieda lightning spray this has been giving my hair some extra blonde and it reminds me of being in high school and girls using "sun-in" for their hair 

Jergens bb body cream  i love the way this makes my skin feel and it smells yummy 

Hourglass ambiant lighting powder  .. thats all i need to say! ... i finally bit the bullet and bought one of these and i love the way it makes my skin look it sets my makeup perfectly and doesn't leave a white overcast. simply perfect!

formula x nail polish in radical this is the perfect color for spring

the balm cindy-lou manizer this is such a gorgeous rose gold highlighter .

I obviously love my Lorac pro palette and you can tell which ones i love the most but this month i have been using the brown colors  i have been putting taupe all over the lid and blending it into the crease and then assign a touch of sable to smoke it out and espresso as my liner.

KINSLEY'S FAVORITES: 

This girl is growing so fast i can't believe she is almost 6 months old already! 

She has been loving just rolling around on the floor and playing ( chewing) on her toys she will roll all the way across the room its so funny to see.

 Sophie has been her favorite chew toy this month along with her toes ..

She loooves to eat bananas and pears i think she is defiantly going to get her momma's sweet tooth 

Finally big enough to play in her jumoeroo ..kinda  we usually have a pillow under her feet to help her but she loves playing with all the toys and music we actually ended up buying another one to bring to great grandmas house.

I can't wait to see what April brings and all the fun stuff Kins will learn.

February Favorites

Even thou February is the shortest month i feel like it has taken forever to get through . I don't know if it was because we all were sick for about 2 weeks or what the situation was but it feels like the month has just dragged along.

Even thou we haven't had much rain & the weather has been wonderful, I'm so ready for spring and summer and watching Kinsley enjoy and learn about all the fun stuff that comes with the warmer months.

Here are a few of out favorite things for Feb

Loreal volume filler line is amazing esp if you have thin hair like me this really ads volume to your hair and makes it feel silky smooth I'm in love with this line!

Who doesn't love some bath and body works products and they recently had a great sale on hand soaps for $2.00 i just love the way the smell and of course their candles are amazing! i love this honeysuckle bouquet one that smells of pretty spring flowers.

Kinsley had some dry patches on her skin i think it was from using a fragranced body wash so i have switched to  plain ole Johnson's baby head to toe and it seems to be doing the trick.

For those rare moments when i actually have time to use a face mask i have been loving Lush's  MASK OF MAGNAMINTY its actually considered a  deep facial cleanser mask that smells and feels wonderful.

Kinsley has been loving this tummy time pillow by Baby Einstein it makes tummy time a lot more enjoyable for her 

i ordered this mama's and papa's Polly rag doll from amazon for her for valentines day and she is in love with her she goes everywhere with us she even falls asleep with her in her swing and the way she wraps her arms around it is too adorable for words. 

i also ordered some more books by Jennifer Adams . these books are so cute and perfect for reading time  we got sense and sensibility( about opposites ) and weathering heights (about weather) .

And of course we have our favorite headbands!  we have been loving the valentines headbands from WILLOWCROWNS and her mint colored bows 

A new shop we have ordered from is CharlieCocos I'm loving this leopard print bow with gold glitter band . 

Kinsley has been eating baby food for the last week and she is loving bananas , avocados not so much but we are working on it. I'm so happy she took to eating baby food so well .

Mani Mondays: formula x Torque

Its Mani Monday again and I had a little time while kins took a great nap whoo hoo! I recently purchased this gorgeous polish from Sephora  from the formula x line in the color Torque.  its a pretty metallic toupe color that goes on so smooth. With all metallic it can show any little imperfection on the nail so I used Essie fill the gap base coat and nails inc. gel effect top coat.

I love this polish and the formula x line from Sephora they have such amazing colors and great glitters that are so different. I have a serious nail polish collection and I really wanna get more of these polishes even thou I have every color under the sun. until I make a trip to the mall I will just be in love with this one ..
