Nevada faves.

Since it's the end of February and all my stuff is packed and ready to come back to California I thought instead of doing a monthly faves post is share my fave things from being here in Nevada for the last 31/2 months

1.Nordstrom rack.. Yes we have them at home but the ones I have been to never have anything good I I find something here every time i go.. I will miss it the most.
2. The mostly perfect weather... Even thou my skin needs to go to rehab for being so dry and itchy  the weather here in the winter is just about perfect.
3.The view, even thou I hate to venture out of my comfort zone in fear of ending up completely lost driving anywhere here has the most amazing views of pretty mountains with snow on one side and desert on the other not to mention you can see the strip from just about any angle.
4. Exploring new places. We have been pretty lucky to get to visit new places while we have been here like the Hoover dam, Grand Canyon, red rock , the valley of fire, etc.
5. Baby stacks. The most ahhhhmazing pancakes ever.
6. Hobby lobby, barns & nobles, & having more than one target to wander through.
7.Being so close to Disney land  ! I would be there every other weekend if Aaron let me.

I am so excited to get back to California and regular life! I'm excited to be around people and places I know and for Kinsley to be able to be social again and have play date cuz home girl is probably sick of me and wants some actual friends her age.

So with That .. Thanks Las Vegas  it's been real... Peace out!

Hello Monday

Hello Monday .. Again you are like a bad boyfriend that won't stop stalking me.. But as much as I hate to see you come back it means we are another week down and another closer to coming home.

Friday was spent the usual way target , the ups store and no nap for Kinsley making it a long day but we were so happy to have a little family time before bed.

Saturday morning we got up bright and early and set out for some more adventures in Las Vegas we went to checkout the Red Rock Canyon national park and let me just say the pictures will never do it justice! It looks like your in a painting ...

We also hit up Bonnie springs an "old western" town right by red rock and it was such a cute little place... They had shows with Cowboys and a train to ride, little buildings and a saloon set up like the old west ... & a petting zoo...

Half pig .. Half rabbit say what ???

I was so excited for kins to see all the animals until we walked further into the petting zoo where some of them were out roaming round ... Now don't get me wrong I'm all for animal rights and not caging them up  but .. My anxiety was at a max and Kinsley was not impressed ...

Esp when Bambi tried to eat her doll.. She quickly kicked it in the face and I ran out of there and had enough of the super friendly forest creatures.

Sunday was spent with low carbs and football not the best sunday ive ever had hence the low carb eating but I got to snuggle with my best girl and that's a win in my book.

Hope you all have a carb filled week

hello monday

Hello again Monday,  Hope you all had a great weekend! This weekend was full of adventure for us.
Friday me and Kinsley did some running around at target and old navy and kindly decided she didn't not want to partake in nap time for the day and that playing with her leagues was more important.  the guys went out to the strip for the night and me Kinsley and Aaron had a mickey mouse marathon and pizza.

Saturday we got up and headed out to the hoover dam about 40 minutes away from where we are staying and let me tell you it was an adventure! it was great to see such a historic landmark but for someone who hates heights looking down was not so much fun!  but looking out at not only the man made structures but also the breathtaking GOD made land was incredible it looked like a painting.
we took the power plant tour because i think it was the only one we could really do with kins..
( they have other tours but kids have to be at least 8 years old)
first there was a short movie about the history of the hoover dam and kindly was not impressed Aaron had to get up and leave with her but thank God for stroller rides because we were able t do the rest of the tour with her fast asleep. we went in an elevator 500-something feet down inside the dam and got to see the pipes  and the first ever generator ever used ( enter happy husband) and all the power stuff  but even getting into the building to take the tour was a fun time in its self its set up like an airport and you have to empty all your belongings into the buckets and go through a metal detector.... no food or drink ... so ... with half our baby snacks now confiscated ... we were so happy to be on with the tour and a little annoyed... thankfully they let us keep our baby bottles!
after the tour we ate some lunch and headed out for the bridge (& enter me having panic attack) johnny and I decided to take the stairs up in stead of the long ramp that Aaron took with the stroller and me being the smart person jam said " hey lets run up the stairs and get some exercise in!) ...then i fell and smacked my knee so hard on the cement steps... fun times... it still hurts.. still... the rest of the night was grocery shopping ..more pizza and football

Sunday morning the boys got up and went to church while me and kins watched church on line from the fathers house and got ready for the day .. we went to lunch at the sunset station oyster bar and had
Louisiana style food and lobster of course. then a quick trip to the mall and more football

hope you all had a great weekend and that your week is even better! hopefully we can go to the library this week for some story time and some park fun.

Home sweet Henderson

Its been 47 days since we came to Nevada and I'm so home sick! I even miss my cat that's how home sick I am! crazy I know! It hasn't helped that Kinsley has been sick for about 24 of those days leaving us stuck in the house so she can get better, but she on the mend and with that comes more hope for finding things to keep us busy.

I went to hobby lobby the other day in search of my inner Martha Stewart and all though practice makes perfect  i thought these Flower Crowns came out pretty good for someone who is not very Martha Stewart.

There is a park sorta by the house & story time at the library i have been wanting to take this little sickie too, and of course target and the shopping areas, and I'm learning my way around slowly but its still not the same as being at home and having friends and family, even thou I'm a stay at home mama and they all work so I'm mostly by myself with Kinsley anyways it still can feel so lonely here sometimes. I find myself jumping up and down once the guys get home from work like a little kind just waiting for human interaction and of course Aaron just says "you have Kinsley to play and to talk to all day you have the best job ever!" Yes i do and i wouldn't change it for the world but i still need an adult life with adult conversations and internment ...  I don't want to sound like I'm complaining I'm thankful my husband has an amazing job that allows me to stay home with my little and i know God has us here for a reason but i feel like I'm just trying to figure this whole thing out all over again being a mom and dividing my time between life and baby.

I go on instagram and Facebook and see life moving on with out me back at home and talk to friends and family on the phone and text and emails but sometimes it just makes it worse and i feel even more homesick then before i called lol ,  When i was 23 i moved all the way to Minnesota with Aaron and i didn't drive then ( lame i know) i stayed in our rink dinky little apartment all day and hated it there so much!  i was way from family for the first time in my entire life... this time around i have a 15 month old along for the ride and i can drive where i want (who hoo!) so i guess its not so bad....

I'm totally rambling now but the point is ....roughly 83 days to go ...  & i need a hobby

xo,

p.s.  are you all interested in the #whatkinsiewore? or should i make a separate "fashion blog" for that or should i at all?  and I'm also thinking of new blog names for this one...yes? no? give me your input

Hello Monday

Hello loves I hope you all had a fab weekend we spent Friday checking out the sunset galleria mall close to our house and it didn't go as smoothly as I wanted Kinsley had Fallen  asleep on the way there naturally and it was super windy, trying to get her in the stroller with out waking her up was even more challenging than normal  and of course she woke up .. I had wanted to go to sephora and forever21 and bath and body works and went there first and should have saved that for last because I bought 3 candles and four soaps and the bag was so heavy and I couldn't get it into the bottom of the stroller and kept dropping everything as I was trying to do it all while Kinsley was throwing her shoes across the store and people just walking by starring at me I ended up taking out the crate candle holder and threw it away along with a lil polar bear  purse I bought Kinsley...oops  she was getting feisty and I was growing more irritated so we left with a few things I wanted and some take out Chevys.. It rained the rest of the day so we stayed in and watched toy story 3 and cried at the end like a lil baby..

Saturday started bright and early with running errands and getting a little Christmas shopping done and of course meeting Santa

We ended up down by the Vegas strip and decided to check out the Luxor and the shark reef and the Mandalay bay and Kinsley loved all the fish. It was great to get out and explore the sights around us.

Sunday is full of football and Mickey Mouse and yummy food

I can't believe how fast Christmas is coming up this week will be getting things ready for our disneyland trip and sending out Christmas presents..

Happy Monday everyone!

Hello Monday

Hello loves and hello Monday we had a good long weekend with Aaron home from work for thanksgiving and with a few little mishaps I'd say it was a pretty good one for just throwing it together last minute.

Friday morning we headed out to target & Costco & Nordstrom rack for a few supply's and Black Friday deals and grabbed some breakfast at a casino cafe and later drove down the strip since I have never seen it.

Although Friday was full of fun shopping and sight seeing it was a rough one for me because my great uncle gained his angel wings and returned home even though I'm sad and it kills me that I'm not home with my family at this time I know he's no longer suffering from cancer and is with his loved ones walking the streets of gold. I'm so blessed and thankful to have had him in my life and that he was able to see Kinsley.

Saturday was a day of cleaning and grocery shopping and finding a bank and a little park time for kinsie she loved it of course and could not stay away from the slide.

Sunday we went to the church of LV and Kinsley did so great in the nursery. We went and got a new mattress and had some lunch at the casino cafe again and headed home for nap time and football.

On this weeks agenda, find a library with story time do a Little Christmas shopping & check out the malls
Hope you all have a great week
