Toddler territory

In the last few weeks this girl has seemed more like a toddler than the sweet little baby girl that she once was. Her facial features a growing and changing, Her personality is growing and changing, And her toddler girl emotions are growing and changing and giving me a run for my money!

She is full of laughs and smiles and sweet cuddles and then in true girl fashion gets upset over something so small like glitter bracelets and chunky necklaces! She must have them at all times and she throws a crying fit for them! When she isn't crying to wear one she's crying just to hold it and chew on it! She doesn't know that I don't want her to brake off a clasp and choke she doesn't care she just knows it's pretty and she want it!

Kinsley doesn't know the importance of car seat safety and no matter how tight I make those straps , she finds a way to wiggle her way through and have a screaming fit because she's over this little car ride and wants out!

I try to choose my battles with her like her screaming and trying to climb out of her high chair usually ends in meals on the floor and food everywhere. The crazy looks I get from others at the store or at a restaurant because I'm the mom who lets my 17 month old watch Mickey Mouse club house on my iPhone so that she will be quiet so I can shop/eat desperate times ladies and if you had iPhone with Mickey Mouse apps when your kids were little I'm sure you'd use them too. Would you rather be listening to my crying child with a level 5 meltdown.

There are of course the important things I don't let her get away with like playing with dog food or light sockets  but the days of sweet baby activities like rolling around on the floor and not getting into anything are long gone and we are definitely entering toddler territory where there's chalk everywhere and iPhone and having to pull over every five minutes to re buckle her!

Every toddler cries and throws fits. Every single parent has been in my shoes I'm just trying to find my way in this crazy toddler world  so your welcome  to the little old lady at old navy who kept giving me the craziest judgmental looks for Kinsley watching Mickey Mouse instead of screaming  and the other too ladies  who were whispering about how she was watching TV on my phone and once they realized I could hear them changed their tune to how cute she was..  And a big thank you to the lady in line with me at target that reassured me her 5 year old learned his ABC's  by the age of two from iPad apps and that my child will be OK and I'm not a bad mom for letting her.

Goodbye baby stages and hello toddler life

Xo,
