hello monday

Hello again Monday,  Hope you all had a great weekend! This weekend was full of adventure for us.
Friday me and Kinsley did some running around at target and old navy and kindly decided she didn't not want to partake in nap time for the day and that playing with her leagues was more important.  the guys went out to the strip for the night and me Kinsley and Aaron had a mickey mouse marathon and pizza.

Saturday we got up and headed out to the hoover dam about 40 minutes away from where we are staying and let me tell you it was an adventure! it was great to see such a historic landmark but for someone who hates heights looking down was not so much fun!  but looking out at not only the man made structures but also the breathtaking GOD made land was incredible it looked like a painting.
we took the power plant tour because i think it was the only one we could really do with kins..
( they have other tours but kids have to be at least 8 years old)
first there was a short movie about the history of the hoover dam and kindly was not impressed Aaron had to get up and leave with her but thank God for stroller rides because we were able t do the rest of the tour with her fast asleep. we went in an elevator 500-something feet down inside the dam and got to see the pipes  and the first ever generator ever used ( enter happy husband) and all the power stuff  but even getting into the building to take the tour was a fun time in its self its set up like an airport and you have to empty all your belongings into the buckets and go through a metal detector.... no food or drink ... so ... with half our baby snacks now confiscated ... we were so happy to be on with the tour and a little annoyed... thankfully they let us keep our baby bottles!
after the tour we ate some lunch and headed out for the bridge (& enter me having panic attack) johnny and I decided to take the stairs up in stead of the long ramp that Aaron took with the stroller and me being the smart person jam said " hey lets run up the stairs and get some exercise in!) ...then i fell and smacked my knee so hard on the cement steps... fun times... it still hurts.. still... the rest of the night was grocery shopping ..more pizza and football

Sunday morning the boys got up and went to church while me and kins watched church on line from the fathers house and got ready for the day .. we went to lunch at the sunset station oyster bar and had
Louisiana style food and lobster of course. then a quick trip to the mall and more football

hope you all had a great weekend and that your week is even better! hopefully we can go to the library this week for some story time and some park fun.

xo,
